My name is Yolanda Jacobs. I am native to Louisiana and relocated to the metro-Atlanta area in 2004. As an Army veteran, I’ve lived and deployed to many places around the world. My mission has always been to help those who have been wronged to get justice whenever possible. This is why I became a trained EEO specialist and mediator. I joined Local-2883 as a union steward in December 2021 because I recognized it as a place where my mission and the organization’s purpose aligned.

I am a Fayetteville State University alumna—true to my degree—with a passion for observing, studying, and opining social behavior. In my personal time, I love spending time with family and friends, reading, roller skating and traveling.

In 2019, I had the opportunity to relocate to the Atlanta area supporting the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Office of Financial Resources, Office of Acquisition Services as a Senior Procurement Analyst/ Contracting Officer Representative.
